A shaadi invite page you can send on WhatsApp
Your story, photos, functions and venues on one link that relatives can open without downloading anything, with directions, calendar reminders and RSVPs that come straight to you.
Most wedding invitations in India are now forwarded on WhatsApp anyway: a PDF, a video, or a photo of the printed card. A page is easier to read on a phone, can hold your photos and story, and lets you correct a venue or timing without sending a new file to 300 people.
Shaadi Invite opens like a real card: guests break a gold wax seal with your initials and the invitation unfolds out of a velvet envelope. Below it are a live countdown to the muhurat, your story, and a card for every function (Haldi, Mehendi, Sangeet, Pheras, Reception) with the dress code, a Directions button for Google Maps and an Add to calendar button. Guests RSVP right on the page, saying how many are coming and to which functions, and every reply lands in your Awwdrop account.
If you're the friend or sibling of the couple instead, Open When… makes a sweet wedding gift, with envelopes like 'open on your first fight as a married couple' or 'open on your first anniversary'. Either way it's a private link, not listed or indexed anywhere, and you can fix a venue or timing after sharing without sending a new file.
Ideas to put in it
- Put the dress code for every function on its card so nobody turns up to the haldi in white.
- Add your first photo together and the story of how you met to the timeline. Relatives love this part most.
- Share one link with the whole family list and watch the RSVPs (and guest counts) come in.
- For the couple: write 'open when' envelopes for their first year of marriage.
- Lock one envelope until their first anniversary.
- Ask the whole friend group for marriage advice, the funnier the better.
- Add photos from their roka, engagement or haldi.
- Print the QR code on a card and slip it into the shagun envelope.
Questions
Can guests RSVP on the invite?
Yes. Each guest can say how many people are coming and which functions they'll attend, plus a short message. Every RSVP shows up on your gift page, and one link works for the whole family list.
Can I edit the invite after sending it?
Yes. All our gifts can be edited after sending, and the same link updates.
Will it be public?
No. Gift pages are private links that aren't listed on our site or indexed by search engines.
